Park of Historical Fountain of Kaynardzha

Bulgaria

The Park of Historical Fountain of Kaynardzha, located in the village of Kaynardzha, Bulgaria, marks the site of a significant event in European history. It commemorates the signing of the Treaty of Küçük  Kainardzha in 1774, which ended the Russo-Turkish War of 1768–1774. This treaty granted the Russian Empire key territorial and religious privileges over the Ottoman Empire. The fountain, built near the location of the negotiations, symbolizes peace and serves as a reminder of the role of the village in reshaping regional power dynamics. The fountain is a modest, historical landmark with deep cultural and historical resonance.

The site is property of the Municipality of Kaynardzha.
