Ed Dumrese
The Netherlands
Ed Dumrese grew up at the internal German border during the Cold War. In that period (western) German was in an open and self-reckless process of overcoming it’s heavy burdened history of World Wars and the holocaust. Maybe this made him so passionate about peace, freedom, democracy and justice. After an atonement service in Israel and travels he studied Development Studies in Wageningen, The Netherlands. He worked with refugees and became director of the commemoration of the capitulations in 1945 in the Netherlands. He is involved in many foundations and is co-founder of the European Network Places of Peace.
